My take as well. Or possibly just the election of GW. 9/11 and his presidency's response to it led to so many calamitous events and are what allowed shitliberalism to really gain momentum behind the scenes in the lead up to Obama's presidency.

No need to make this a hard question. The obvious, simple answer is the correct one: 9/11/01.
The seeds were planted ages ago. African slavery. Anti-establishmentarianism among the founders. Weird secular deism. Stupid cold war policies that resulted in vietnam, which fueled the 1960s cultural shift to marxism. The 1965 immigration act.
But something broke on 9/11. Maybe the inner-child of libs finally saw the frailty of the patriarchy or something. Because during GWB they started throwing massive fits and realized no one or nothing could really stop them. By Obama's second term, it really had become a clown world, and libs rallying behind evil GC Hillary only confirmed that nefarious forces would use the power vacuum established by the patriarchy's weakness to whore out the USA's corpse

There are things we can do, but they are difficult:
1. The slow version: You can starve GC by living humbly in small communities, not buying shit. Growing food. Off-grid. Hope, over time, others do the same.
2. The fast version: another disruption right after 9/11 would have tanked the economy. (OBL's fatal flaw was not having a second shoe ready to drop). If you become some Unabomber who stalls air travel for a few weeks or something, you could bring GC to its knees, though you will probably be executed for your work. But the network is a fragile addict and needs DAILY fixes

osama's 911 was all sizzle and no steak...and he needed more people...the american elites can be taken down, but the economy has to be taken down first...and the economy is quite vulnerable...if osama had had 500 men, they could have manufactured plastic explosives and used them to disable the sewer systems of all the large cities...that would have done the trick...but crashing planes into skyscrapers is flashier...

yeah i think about those times a lot. the airlines were in dire trouble for a month, and they are a big part of the economy. He could have delivered a potentially fatal blow with a second spectacular airline attack.
But yes, a physical infrastructure attack, if coordinated in multiple cities, would have been effective too.
No doubt, he probably never expected to get as far as he did. Maybe he thought the towers would not fall, but only be damaged.
Were he more ambitious, thought "bigger", he could have used the psychological shock of 9/11 only as an opening act, and then engaged sleeper cells all over when Americans were already feeling peak vulnerability. Exploding the economy while downing the electrical grid in major cities would have done it.

There have been assassinations throughout American history. Did America lose its innocence when William McKinley was assassinated? No. What happened in 1963 was that Boomers lost their innocence.

On 14 May 1948, the day before the expiration of the British Mandate, David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, declared "the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz-Israel, to be known as the State of Israel."

Something changed the world with the establishment of Israel in 1948,” said Marcus. “ I tell young people today—‘You don’t know how good your life is because of what happened in Israel…. Many of you who are in universities don’t understand that Israel saved your lives and your careers because when Israel was formed—things changed for Jews in the United States!
“There were no Jewish bankers—they had to form their own—like Goldman Sachs.. I remember selling Israel bonds in the ‘70’s to one of the major companies in the United States. They put me in front of the Board of Directors — they had 10,000 people working for them— and I said to them: “Are there any Jews here? They looked at me. “Do you at least have a Jewish accountant, a Jewish lawyer? And the CEO sheepishly looked at me and said: “No, I don’t!” Not a single Jew! So when I speak to you about Israel, I am talking about something that helped us become stronger, better and survivors!”

No, in the wake of 9/11 America was kinder and more unified than I've ever seen. Something really special happened. There was a moment where everyone in this country, just for a moment, was truly united. A few months, could have been weeks. I just recall it now less clearly, but it was magic.

I truly believe the lib mentality is an adolescent one, fixated on the oppressive father, and seeing daddy get abused so badly terrified and woke up the libs. They smelled blood and have been increasingly insane ever since. And dad cant stop them and they know it

in many ways, yes. that was the year that neoliberalism prevailed over populism (ie, NAFTA/Clinton/Bush over the Pat Buchanan/Ross Perot model). immigration had been loosened by bush sr. in 1990, and there was a debate over whether or not to roll it back. that debate was won by the pro-immigrationists and the globalists.

1998: Clinton impeachment. This basically was when US politics really went off the deep end. The GOP gave into extremists. It coincided with the growth of FoxNews and the internet, which permitted right wing bullshit to spread like herpes.
2000: Bush v. Gore. A disputed election is handed to the loser of the popular vote by a right wing Supreme Court. The GOP learned it could act undemocratically to get what it wants.
2003: Iraq War. Bush sells a crappy war under false pretenses. GOP falls in line like a bunch of cucks. No one is ever held responsible.
2008: Financial crisis. GOP deregulation fucks the economy. No one powerful is ever held accountable. No significant changes are made to the fucked up right wing economic system.
2008: Obama election. Low IQ birdshit racists go IR8 at a handsome smart family oriented black man becoming POTUS. They go completely fucking ape shit insane and TTT social media just enhances this white anger.
2016: Trump. The US goes full blown banana republic when birdshit racist trash elects a low IQ orange racist moron. I'd say the US ended on election day 2016. It will only get worse.

america was more or less doomed from the start--when the elites are able to bring in different races, it's pretty much doomed from the start...also, the founding settlers were often quasi-slaves, which created an authoritarian culture, which is still with us today...one possible way out is a total collapse, allowing breakup...which --because the elites are propping up the economy with ever-increasing mass immigration--probably will not happen, unless the elites invade russia or china, in which case our totally vulnerable big cities will be destroyed by infiltrating guerrilla fighters using bombs...

I personally am really trying to understand the culture shift that occurred during 2012 personally, if you look at everything from house prices, interest rates, the stock market, cultural behaviors, LGBTQ agenda and other assorted shit - 2012 was a period when shit got really weird QUICK.

Looking back on it, in 2012 - shit went off the charts: The stock market, especially the tech stock market as well as real estate prices in major cities. It was like someone flicked a switch or something and caused it to boom crazy reducing affordability and causing misery for the average person.

If America hadn’t been so far away from the rest of the civilized world, it would have been destroyed in WW2. We got the luckiest bounce in history being the only industrialized nation to come out of the war with its infrastructure fully intact. So that economic gift kept us distracted for a few decades and prolonged the inevitable collapse of any democracy that allows the poor and uneducated (and now the foreign poor and uneducated) to vote resources out of the hands of the productive and into their own.

Boomers are fucking dumb man, at least in managerial and professional classes. Look at what they did when they ran Wall Street.
Or maybe its just that the subsequent generations have had to work way harder to get to the same place so they are naturally better than the boomers due to Darwinian process.

xo has a few mentally ill clitdick dorks who run "southern gentleman alpha" shtick. its incredibly cringey and literally none of them are actually southern. doodikoff, eg, is a fucking kike who grew up in the gc suburbs of atlanta--he has literally no connection to southern culture or heritage at all.
so this asshole right here is claiming to be a "lifelong south carolinian" who cares about losing the civil war. yeah, no. theres literally ZERO CHANCE this "lifelong south carolinian alpha" is from an actual prestigious south carolina family. zero chance. none. period.
why he has decided to run "alpha SEC frat bro" shtick on the internet, i dont know. because it makes no fucking sense. but i can tell you weve got at least five of these motherfuckers on here who have some bizarre compunction to lie about being "old money country club" southerners.

I just picked up this thread and after reading this, I am concerned about you, brother. The hatred here, what's up with this? I've done nothing to you.
I never claimed to be raised in the South but my Southern cred is fine. I have a big family that lives here and I'm the second generation of my family to hold the same elected position in this county.
I'm not an SEC frat boy, and I wish I had been because that sounds pretty fun.
oh really, you dont run shtick? you admit youre from california? then how the fuck are you posting about the fucking civil war if youre not running fake south carolinian flame?
or do you just have no possible response to this because youre denying running fake southern shtick in a fucking subhthread where i am literally responding to your fake southern shtick you fucking moron?

I'm not going to post anything here that I haven't already said already because I'm not outing myself. I've been living in South Carolina since 1996 and virtually all of one side of my family lives in South Carolina. I have relatives who fought in the confederacy and a few weeks ago went to a family memorial for a great great (maybe another great) uncle who fought at Pocotaligo. The other side of my family is from Texas and there is a major cattle trail named after another one of my great great... uncles who was also a confederate veteran.
I talk all the time about my time at The Citadel, so yea I wasn't in an SEC frat but both my dad and uncle were KA's at an SEC back in the day so I'm pretty sure I would have been OK no matter.
My wife's is from a prominent lowcountry family and she's related to something like 1/5th of my county. Even if I shared that name with you it wouldn't mean anything to you because you don't live here.
But I'll give you this, you are definitely southern. Only a real southerner would be offended that I have done as well as I've done here considering I lived in Los Angeles until I was 18. There are some guys here who resent me and view me as an outsider, and that irritates me sometimes, but you know there's fucking assholes everywhere you go, and you are being a fucking asshole right now.
this might be the most cringey shtick in the history of the internet. like, imagine lying about being from are country. the level of mental illness is mindblowing

Most of this is pretty unhinged.
Civil War and WWII were 180. WWI was questionable because of Wilson's incompetent handling of the entry and exit.
The 1965 immigration act, as originally intended, was not that bad. It was the 1990 immigration reform signed by HW Bush that resulted in expansion of chain migration and the sharp spike in immigrants.
2003 Iraq War was a disaster. Both HW Bush and W Bush were awful.

I'm gonna say 2018. Things like 9/11, Iraq War, 2008 GFC, globalization of the 90s, cultural shifts of the 60s... all those were severe blows, some too great to withstand, but though it was mortally wounded the body was still shuffling along, clinging to life. Around 2013-2015 it really palpably felt like the country was completely done. But then Trump's fantastic run and victory came, and there was a sense at the 11th hour that there could somehow be a miraculous recovery. It was only after a year and a half of his presidency that it became obvious that there would be no recovery and the few last blips on the heart rate chart finally became a flat monotone.
