My girlfriend lives with 2 other girls in an apartment. About a month and a half ago, at my gf's insistence, they started taking couch surfers in the apartment. For inexplicable reasons, all seven of the couchsurfers so far have been dudes, except for a male-female couple from NZ. Last month one of the other girls apparently caused the couple to break up by sleeping with the man.
Anyway, the latest couch surfer is this French dude, some sort of jazz guitarist. He was supposed to stay three or four days, but he's been at the apt going on three weeks already. He has a heavy French accent and once described himself as [my gf's] "cooch surfer" at a party...I just assumed that was his accent getting in the way of his pronunciation of "couch surfer." Tonight I came home to my gf's place to find him in her bed with a guitar in hand, and no shirt on, and her right next to him, but not touching or anything. She said it was totally innocent. Admittedly it was hot today, so that would explain the shirtlessness. Should I believe her?

UPDATE on this: I was drinking with a mutual friend the other day, and he hinted that the couch surfer definitely slept with my ex, but she insists it was only after we broke up. Apparently the whore slept with at least one other couch surfer too. FML.

goddamnit you guys are always so cynical.
i really don't think this is true. if anything i am the one who's always getting other girl's numbers and stuff.
one of her old buddies from college did come to me a few days ago to tell me she made out with a chick last time she was in SF (where she's from), but he said she definitely has not cheated on me with a guy.

rofl. if her college buddy hadn't felt sorry for your cuckolded ass, you would know nothing about the girl in SF. maybe her new friends/roomies don't give a shit about you and don't care about what you do or don't know.

"at my gf's insistence"
your gf sounds reckless. seems like she was hoping something like this would happen. she gets off on thrills, and you aren't thrilling her. time to ATD.
the fact that you did not beat the shit out of this dude on the spot has guaranteed the fact that your girlfriend fucked him soon after if she wasn't already. goddamn you're a pussy.
If not flame, the fact that you didn't beat the shit out of the French dood is reprehensible. But let's say you're a peacenik who doesn't resort to that sort of thing.
It's doubly reprehensible that you didn't immediately pull your g/f into the other room and explain to her that it's over. But let's say you're really into her and you think it was innocent.
It's triply reprehensible that you didn't explain to her that the slightest hint or rumor that she's cheating on you (which would include having anymore guys sleeping on her couch, including allowing the french dude to continue there past tonight) will end the relationship. Her "explanation" that it was innocent should have no bearing whatsoever on your reaction. If she can't appreciate how un-innocent it must have looked to an outside observer, let alone her b/f, then you need to dump immediately.

its beyond beta. he doesnt even KNOW that he's basically given her permission to sleep with the guy. he really believes that she can have innocent relationships with guys who want to bone her.
I know some pretty "beta" doods who still have no problems bitching out their g/fs when they feel wronged by something they do. In fact, many of my most beta friends are also the cattiest with their g/fs. I think it's an insecurity thing.

it's not so much that frenchie wants to bone her. plenty of guys she interacts with on a daily basis want to bone her. you can't expect her to never associate with anyone who finds her sexually appealing. the problem is that she wants to bone HIM.
I think it's even halfway reprehensible that he didn't put up a fight when his girlfriend and her roommates started doing something stupid and dangerous.

I don't buy into this alpha/beta idiocy but the man clearly has no control over this woman which led to this situation of her openly banging other doods.

if that's really your concern (but i think the frenchguy knows and is just taking advantage of that), then he should have at least said, "excuse me? did you just call yourself my gf's cooch surfer?" and been slightly intimidating so that frenchguy knows he's not supposed to even joke about being somehow related to the gf.
0h n0es! He'll look like an asshole, LOLOL I seriously laughed out loud at this. Are you some kind of virgin? Any non virgin d00ds present will respect him. Any women present will wish her man would do the same, as that type of talk would be disrespectful to a woman who's faithful. I wonder who would think he's an asshole, besides the french fuck and the cheating whore (who, unless she's actually into the frenchie, probably won't go to bat for the frog's ass).
Date: August 26th, 2009 10:29 PM Author: Snowy Goyim Trailer Park
assuming it was innocent, i would still be suspicious if my dood did not ask "what the HELL are you doing in my gf's bed?" but just peacefully accepted it
dood it is the guy's fault that he says shit like he's your g/f's cooch surfer and gets in her bed knowing she's got a b/f. Fuck that shit.
If my g/f is a slut and some dood is good enough to fuck her on the sly, more power to him...but if my g/f is a slut and I catch that guy with her, I'll savor dat ass-whoopin'.
Edit: this comment, though --> "you guys are serious about the beating up thing?" clearly indicates you've never been in a relationship. Thanks for playing.
So which is it then? Are you an aspy basement dweller who's never been with a girl, or do you enjoy being cuckolded? If the latter, plz provide your g/f's phone # and address.

Hey, just talked to her. She's talking to him right now, telling him he needs to leave effective tomorrow, and that she has a friend who can put him up for a few nights. she had been complaining that he had been staying for so long without paying rent anyway in the past couple days.
I don't have time to address all the (mostly idiotic) points brought up by everyone here, but i did want to say, that i did tell him to get out of my gf's bed when i got home, and that someone else did make fun of him when he said "cooch" (it actually sounded somewhere between "coosh" and "cooch"), and that he corrected himself.
also, couch surfing is legitimate, and i don't think it's stupid and dangerous at all. for the most part it works surprisingly well, and i'd always be there to protect her if it didn't.
Also, again, i'm not going to become violent and possibly earn myself a criminal record for you douchebags. but hopefully the situation is resolved now.
She's letting complete strangers stay in her house for free. If she ever does it herself, she's going to be staying with complete strangers in a city where she knows no one. Presumably these strangers will be mostly male, as women are usually too wary of rape for these things. This seems like an unusually risky and stupid way to get around paying for a hotel room.

"someone else did make fun of him when he said 'cooch'..." wow u have other guys defending your relationship for you. very beta.
ur gf fucked the guy, which is why she let him stay for free so long, and also why she's trying so hard to make sure he has a place to stay, instead of just throwing him out on the street for nonpayment.
and lol that she didnt kick him out for flirting with her, but she'd do it for money. true whore.
now she knows she can get away with it whenever he lets her down, all she has to do is wait for him to stew a bit, post on a message board, and then go talk to her.
very, very credited. what the OP doesn't seem to get is that the fact that his girl let the dude on his bed in the first place means HE's doing something wrong.
I second the other guy's surprise at all the people here who claim he should have beat the french dude up.
WTF is up with all this real man = criminal thing. we all know you are a buncha pussies trying to overcompensate. He doesn't like what she's doing he can break up with her. physically beating some guy up over this is grade school shit.
Date: August 26th, 2009 11:02 PM Author: Snowy Goyim Trailer Park
so not to buy into the alpha/beta meme shit, but there are seriously like two schools of thought. the peacemakers dont seem to understand that their passivity is interpreted as permission by people who subscribe to the other school (including women). so you just have to be aggressive to send a message that will be understood.
it's not that he should do nothing--that would be passivity--but that he can be a fucking adult and just break up with her. slinging a few punches because some dude is playing guitar shirtless just reeks of trailer trash.

some women are capricious, deceitful whores
she didn't change. she was just playing you the whole time. i don't mean that she was fucking a different guy every night, but that she was always acting, always manipulating.
Date: October 24th, 2009 8:22 PM Author: Violent dog poop
I still don't know for sure. The direct cause was an argument at a bar. She said I didn't stand up for her enough when some bitches started arguing with her.
My friend says she didn't start fucking the french guy until after we broke up. Still pisses me off so much.
Date: October 24th, 2009 8:31 PM Author: Swashbuckling Brunch
friend, let me tell you something.
this is the absolute best thing you can hear a girl say: "I'm not having sex with you"
if a girl says this (or some variation), you are in.
and if your gf is talking about some guy at work who's hitting on her, even though she finds him totally obnoxious and would never hook up with him...you should be worried.

titcr. Any female that has ever told me some variation of "You're not getting in my pants!" has sooner or later had sex with me. This includes girls who had friendzoned me and women who were in very committed relationships. Once they say something like that, it's implanted in their mind, and unlike men, women can't toss aside thoughts and feelings.

LOL
I met some Couchsurfers once. They try to make it seem like the whole thing is about meeting new people and cultural exchange but it's really ALL about hooking up.
The idea is that people (mostly 18-35 year olds) travel and stay at the homes of strangers. In the US, there's a huge culture of girls "getting to know" guys from Europe, Australia, etc.
On the other hand, I know some guys in the US who host girls from all over the world and show them around town, then cum on their faces.

From what I can tell, most of the girls who are into it are hipster types with worthless liberal arts degrees and menial office jobs. Some of them aren't well traveled at all but those who have traveled abroad aren't really very worldly, just fascinated by other cultures and the idea of foreign dick.

Nah, man. I'm ok posting pictures of him (and her pretty generic name) because it's not common knowledge among our friends that this happened (except for our good mutual friends and her roommates), but no way am I posting pictures of her.

I think the question you need to be asking yourself is how you spent two years with a girl who did you like that. A decent girl will spend at least a month or two morning a relationship that long. She's not going to sleep with some dude a few days later.
Which makes it all the more likely that she was cheating before the relationship ended. There are just too many red flags: making out with the girl, sitting next to the shirtless dude on her bed and hearing she slept with him a couple weeks later.
By the way, have you talked to her since the relationship ended?
Date: October 24th, 2009 9:08 PM Author: Odious Puppy Bbw
I disagree. I've had several breakups where I was definitely mourned for a lengthy period -- and had independent confirmation from multiple friends who were living with/near the girl. The girls who didn't mourn me were also the ones I later realized weren't worth dating in the first place.

doesn't even have to be a bad relationship, if the girl wants an excuse to fuck another guy she'll find one, especially if she's broken (like 90% of girls are).
yeah, a long long long time ago I ran into one of these (broken girls), I stole her from another dood. I was stupid enough to actually like her, she started cheating on me about 4 months later. Fuck her. some bitches just aint right, dawg.

Why would I date a girl that "was known to be slutty?" She went to an all-girls college, don't really know what that implies.
I never suspected her of cheating, I made out with a girl on a trip to Barelona about a year into the relationship though. She'd always be super-jealous whenever I went to meet female friends or whatever.
She's pretty attractive, I'd say an 8. She's a curvy, half-Latina CGWBT.
She never mentioned why she wanted to get into couch-surfing. She hosted both men and women, as well as a few couples.
She spent a summer abroad in China and a semester abroad in Spain before I met her. We took trip to France in June.
