These criminal trials regarding the consensually of intercourse from 20 years ago are so insane
My working theory is it’s simply to drive down fertility rates by making consensual sexual encounters an open legal question, and they were just made examples of to drive the new arrangement into the heads of the public
Why these two specifically though, and Weinstein and such? Perhaps they pissed off the wrong people

Rape and sexual assault weren't investigated or prosecuted hard unless there was substantial evidence, which meant a lot of women with legitimate claims were ignored or brushed under the rug. And cases on the line or skeezy but not illegal were snickered at. Look at how Lewinsky was treated by the media and Epstein was treated by his social circle in the 90s versus today.
Since then there's been a massive overcorrection, which is often what happens when things change. Also Brand being a celebrity whose star has faded factors in. This happens a lot with celebs and powerful people. Just look at Weinstein.

Yes it does. You're just hunting for a conspiracy because you can't accept that cultural and societal changed occur without some group orchestrating it. The reasons #metoo and it's consequences occurred when it did are myriad, it wasn't because some central banker decided to.

Not one that you'll accept but that's how the world works. This is the root cause of your conspiratorial nature: an unwillingness to accept that the world is chaotic and uncertain.
The biggest reason is that women have been gaining more social and political power since womens liberation, but no one could predict exactly when we'd start treating rape more seriously and to what degree we'd overcorrect and exactly how that would manifest.

Weinstein was doing horrific stuff and there was evidence that the community he was a part of was helping him pressure victims to cover it up. This is a recurring issue with jewish "boys clubs" type environments, apparently at varying levels of scale, and jewish women I have met have encouraged me to speak on this aggressively as sometimes it's the only way to make it heard
Excellent producer though and it's a shame it tarnished his legacy as I liked his work on films bigly
Admittedly I don't know much about the Masterson case. The whole topic is dismal tbh and makes me pine occasionally for what the orthos and mormons do regarding gender relations, the Pence rule lifestyle, as it is clear that both 1. some women will just say anything and have no compunctions about ruining a man's reputation with a false claim and 2. some men actually are just flat out rapenigging it up out there and must be punished severely

My guess is it's primarily driven by hyper-overzealous DA types who are also hyper-political.
You have to just lol at the UK. They cover up rape gangs but aggressively go after people with political views they don't like for "crimes" they committed 20+ years ago. LMAO.
The other piece is that these sorts of things are useful for weaponizing public opinion even if the cases go sideways. Google Russell Brand and you get endless news articles and aggregator sites talking about "rape." Even if he were found innocent (or later has the convictions overturned), huge numbers of people now just think "rape" when they see his name.

scientology at one point was a legitimate threat to hollywood power. russel brand simply went off the globalist reservation as noted above. not that hard to figure out

No one knew what Scientology was and on paper it seemed like any other dumb spirtualism. Once people found out it was a litigous cult that believed in extraterrestrial ghosts they got exposed and don't have as much sway.
Russell Brand actually did piss people off and had to be dealt with. He, like Charlie Kirk, is Tall, so you have to go for the proverbial kill shot. Tall Guys can rise from the ashes if you are too merciful to Destroy them completely. Powerful Jews fear the Tall.
Masterson’s thing was right at the heart of the meetoo storm. He is also emblematic of 1970s Scumbag masculinity because he was in a TV show, but actual boomers have grandfather clauses plus are a protected Caste.
Both are Gen X and thus Justice, decency, the law, the bill of rights, and whatever else are not concerns. They’re lucky to not have been Homeless, based on their Gen. Bill Cosby (silent Gen) and Gen X are NOT protected, and laws cannot save them from any injustice.
It’s also just the rise of Millennial shithead prosecutors, Women who don’t reproduce, men who don’t have sex, and just the unholy Torrent of lib malfeasance that happens when you let these people have any control over anything.
There might be an unholy conspiracy behind the scenes but there’s only circumstantial evidence of this. So to see it as unabashed truth you have to write a 10,000k word essay and be schizoid like Consuela, or a Shaman.
