Keanu and Fishburne both are sps

the hot chick isn't hot

the story is lame as fuck and it's cringe inducing how it tries so hard to be edgy in an effort to build a cult following with web 1.0 losers, which I guess worked.

its faded because it was both technologically and ideologically ground breaking, and now that same ground is well broken. over broken even.

but if youre old enough, you lived through it happening and it was Significant

The movie looks amazing and feels so cohesive and purposefully put together that you look past all of the very obvious flaws. You can tell that every scene was meticulously story boarded. At the time, it was a completely unique cinematic experience.

It is not flame one of the best Films of all time, but agree with you the chick was not hot. In retrospect I suppose the directors just wanted to sodomize Keanu and couldn’t be bothered to provide an attractive female lead to their heterosexual audience.

The two sequels were awful.

while I always appreciate attempts at being edgy, this one is in bad form. yes people who lionize the matrix are annoying fags - but the movie is insanely 180 and cultural significant.
