You sit up in a deer blind because they’re evolved to not look up for predators. Then you put feed 100 yards away. Then when a deer casually stops by to eat you shoot it in the head. Might as well drop a cage around it like mousetrap the game.

don't forget the cameras, bro and the scent blocker, and the vet managed genetics, and the high ballistic rounds all so some pussy suburbia faggot can be an "apex predator"

cr. the predator in the arnold schwarzenegger movie could become invisible and shoot laser missiles at people while being seven feet tall and having a nuke wristwatch.

Client is asking for a 50 state survey on this. Time is of the essence but cost sensitive (they are behind on bills). Nothing major but get me a draft by 10am Monday. Tx

Ok now do one about spot and stalk bow hunting. Like other sports, there's a casual level that's easily accessible to newcomers like stand hunting over feed, but that gets boring quickly for people who want to go to that next level.
Yeah, I agree with that. But I went out to hunting resort recently and it was just deer feed/deer stand all over the property. Absolutely ridiculous way to "hunt" and even more absurd given that it was a highly deer pop managed property.

Those places are scoffed at by just about anyone. If you have more money than time, it's worth going to pay $5k for a 140+ inch buck guaranteed, but that's for people like biglaw partners who have about 5 free hours in a given year to go hunting.
Personally I'd rather have them inna stand somewhere rather than out protesting to take our guns or ban hunting like cucks. The more people who pick up the sport, the better.

thats exactly how the democrats are trying to make it seem, when really the population has to thinned out or else you’ll have a roadkill problem and eventually tame deer frolicking all over
i've done a lot of deer hunting in my life and been surrounded by it with family and friends and the feeder and blind version is a total joke. i never understood how anyone could make it such a big part of their identity anymore than going to the grocery store, but boy do they. all you do is wake up early, snipe the helpless thing from 100 yards, pay some guy $5000, and leave. it's not a hobby it's an activity, and a completely uninteresting one at that.

Hunting over feed is definitely a race to the bottom. If you're not doing it, someone else nearby is.
It's probably bad for the herd too. It's theorized that bait piles are a vector for the spread of CWD. It's banned in most of Wisconsin to try and stop the CWD spread.
With as widespread as CWD is getting, feeding deer should probably be banned in all of North America
"bad for the herd" is up for interpretation. the high fence guys have been regularly producing boone and crockett level bucks for decades now, the kind of shit you would've been lucky to see once in a lifetime in the old days. and a lot of them don't really give a shit about CWD and they get irate when the state comes in to kill their herd. it's still pretty rare and they see it like COVID, an overblown hoax.

I prefer bird hunting too.
Unfortunately my ears can't tolerate gunshots without hearing protection. So now I use hearing protection when out bird hunting and it's a lot harder to pick up on flushes.
There's better ear pro than what I've got, but the best stuff is $$$
