There should be some accountability to the public at large when a thread is deleted--even if it has only "mod1" next to it, so we can compile a final report at the end of the quarter. Look at the garbage board. WTF is the ylshopeful thread doing there? It's the only law related thread you've had on this board in 2 years, and mods are putting it in the garbage.

Now that there are ads, is there any way to start affiliating the board with other law-related sites or services, or of putting in some keywords so that it pops up high in the google searches of people looking for information on law school?
The business board has failed. Unless you're willing to spend a lot of time attracting new posters to it, you should just take it down.
If anyone has the time, I think the front page could use a bit of a touch up. The buttons don't match each other and look kind of tacky.
I don't think purging is the best idea. Traditionalists will scream, and it makes some of the actual law school information that much harder to get. Purging threads with fewer than 3 or 4 posts might be fine. |

The college board still has a pulse, and the grad board, while slow, has a bunch of very topical threads that might be of use to someone. My main issue with the business board is that it's not even a resource for people, and that the current posts there are going to scare away anyone who wanted to use it as one. |

3) The point is I think this needs to be a full servcie educational board again. Cutting our boards doesn't really help anything, and if done right could be additive to the entire community
EDIT - Re #2, I'm always of the opinion that boards work better when posters develop an identity over time; we should encourage that as much as possible |

Letting people have side accounts doesn't really restrict that, though. Most people don't bother to make a new account every single time they post. They use new ones for occasional questions, or for schticks.
Eh, even the law board is kind of in trouble. I think we maybe need to concentrate our resources there. |

4. if someone is not already signed in and wants to reply to a post, the log in box (like the future post box that will pop up within a thread) should appear as a pop up on the same page of the thread. registration link should also show up near the log in box. |
