I do not find any of the songs enjoyable. One of them appears to sample a cereal commercial. Too many (featuring some asshole) songs. Appear to slowly be turning into G-Unit or something. Abandoned rock influence.

yeah man, i haven't given the entire album a spin. but objectively, from the few songs i've listened to i wasn't super thrilled. i may just not be a fan of their work, not that it's bad or anything.

lol @ pleb music taste. the songs on this album are atrocious. terrible samples. lacks a "full" sound, very tinny. plasticy beats. no driving bassline. no rhythm. no catchy melodies. no subverse/interesting melodies. basically unlistenable.

I doubt either of you two even listen to them, and if you did, there's no way you would have picked this exact song. But I'm 100% sure that you tell most people in your life that you do listen to them. I'm not some hipster scumbag, I look down on most of that shit. I know when something objectively sucks, and I'm not against the Gorillaz, but this album is really bad. Just listen to it. It's awful.

You claim not to be a "hipster scumbag," but you attempt to impugn my credibility with the allegation that I DON'T listen to Radiohead? Wow dude, you're seriously out of your league here.

seeing as you take "experts" opinions into account, you proably sweat U2 and Bruce Springsteens balls as you pick up Rolling Stone and think everything in there is totally credited

The opinion of one critic, taken alone, is pretty meaningless. As a collective, however, they are pretty apt at determining if a production is objectively meritorious. Of course, that doesn’t mean I’ll find said production subjectively enjoyable, but that’s quite different than asserting that it’s just generally bad.
I would buy your act if you didn’t list bands like Radiohead, but it’s quite obvious you’re just projecting here.

I wouldn't put Ratatat and Radiohead down as my favorite bands, but I do have them on my ipod and consider them a spin once in awhile. I wasn't a fan of "In Rainbows", I'll give you that much.
I don't see why you won't just list some other bands you listen to. I've seen you bash other bands in other threads, and I'm curious to see what you consider good. I doubt all of it is universally awesome.

My taste an opinion isn't based on bands, it's based on songs. How can you like a band when you really like one song but none of the others. I stated earlier that I liked the song "Feel Good, Inc" but none of the songs on Plastic Beach. So in that case, do I or do I not list Gorillaz as a band I listen to? This effectively makes your judgement innacurate if I list them.
