Most nights the decision is pretty easy but tonight I seem to be vacillating between the two and can't decide.

very nice!

this pic is a little dated, i have the complete vertical now, although my old rip has like 1/5th left. i don't think i'll ever been able to open another bottle. they're just too valuable. if i find what at retail i'm compelled to flip it.

Yeah your collection is way bigger than mine, I hesitate to even call it a "collection", at most I only have 5-6 bottles of Bourbon on hand usually a selection of Blanton's, Weller 10, Four Roses Small Batch, Woodford, and Michter's.

i got into collecting like 7 years ago before things got this crazy. i didn't even go hunting for limited edition bottles this year. it's just too competitive and demoralizing. and i have connections with pretty much every liquor store within 100 miles of me. stick to store picks that can be easy to get, and pray that the market eventually corrects itself.

Tell me more about high west campfire. I recently bought high west bourbon instead of my usual wild turkey 101 and really like it. Worth a try?

it's discontinued now so you might have trouble finding it, in fact it's been done for almost a year so you'd really have to do some searching.

i loved it. it's a blend of rye, bourbon, and peaty scoutch. it's a really wonderful mix. if you like peaty islay scotches you're sure to love this. i would always go for it when i wanted something noticeably peaty and spicy.
