Saw a ton of people sitting home or in cars alone wearing masks. These weren’t Uber drivers either. Just a completely fucking weird time that sometimes I wonder if it really happened

Can someone explain what the fuck is going with this behavior? I see it frequently in my lib area and it's totally absurd. Do people seriously think wearing a mask in their car protects them in some manner?

People wouldn’t even open the door for delivery and then would disinfect the package before handling it. COVID really exposed how neurotic the average person is

i remember a few of my colleagues (healthy women) freaking the fuck out over ordering from restaurants. they wouldn't order anything that wasn't packaged or could be disinfected. they'd have their groceries delivered to their front steps, grab it with gloved hands, and disinfect it.

I think the early days neuroticism/ paranoia was more justified than people who are mask cops 2 years into it
Hindsight is 20 20 and at the time it was the “novel coronavirus,” hospitals were putting people on ventilators, nobody knew how deadly it was etc. also the flatten the curve thing was meant to be a temporary measure. Many of us (me) thought the crazy precautions would last like 6 weeks and we’d go back to normal.

It was obvious as shit that the virus was generally harmless once we knew the outcome of that Princess cruise ship outbreak right at the very beginning. That was memory holed very quickly btw.

Where I live. All swings were removed etc. The net is just particularly hilarious. Imagine how you'd have to contact the deadly virus from a net 8 feet in the sky.

Yeah this was lulzy. On one of the early days my wife and I went to Marin to go to the beach and there were signs everywhere saying “if you cannot walk to this beach from your house you need to go home right now per order of blah blah blah”. That first year we went to the beach a lot bc there was nothing to do.
Kim Prather, a leading atmospheric chemist at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, told The Times this week that she fears SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, could enter coastal waters and transfer back into the air along the coast.
“I wouldn’t go in the water if you paid me $1 million right now,” she said.

In summer 2020 I was off roading in the middle of nowhere Utah. No other cars anywhere in sight. Finally passed a Jeep and it was a white dude by himself and he was wearing a mask.

i still see boomers walking alone in giant off leash parks with no one around, on windy days, wearing 2 masks with back up masks sticking out of their coat pockets and not walking a dog.

Have a friend in MA who poasted recently on Facebook that she was in tears because it was her first time dining indoors for 2+ years. WTF. This was the same person who was taking covid tests almost every day for years. I’ve never taken a covid test. My kid, who gets tested twice a week, and has never experienced anything close to an outbreak in 2+ years, is my covid test.

in bali they tried to close all the beaches in 2020, there was one beach these dumbfuks wld ride a big tractor up and down beach yelling at ppl to leave the beach, it was insane bullshit u cld sit in big groups 5 feet from beach but if u went on beach it was like omg u will die .... covid just showed me how retarded humans are, and this life is pointless and we all deserve to get furked in the ass by AC green or maybe james worthy if we are lucky
I still remember the first day after trump addressed it as a crisis in march 2020. No one really thought about masks at all, no one knew what "social distancing" was, and people thought it was going to kill us all. Going to the grocery store, you could see a wild look in everyone's eyes. Hard to believe it wasn't all a kooky nightmare.

While each of these systems has market value individually, and are deployed separately for various purposes, it is the convergence of these otherwise disparate technologies that will facilitate value within the social credit market. For example, combined AI and IoT systems will be leveraged to identify important events that require immediate action versus those that are merely archived tp
