Around the same time, a leaked cap table revealed that Sound Ventures owns approximately 0.15% of OpenAI, a stake now worth roughly $1.3 billion on paper.
While that full amount belongs to Sound Ventures and its investors collectively, Kutcher is a co-founder and general partner of the firm, meaning he participates in profits through carried interest and likely has personal capital invested alongside the fund. Even a conservative estimate of his share of that position suggests $400 million to $600 million in value tied to OpenAI alone." |
