Surely you have to take it on a game by game basis. Chrono Trigger is Prep for example.

Why is an anime graphics game Prep?

Preppiest RPG is Myst on 3DO imo

Because Chrono Trigger is one of the most popular RPGs ever released. But if Myst is an RPG then I'd also include Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metal Gear Solid, and Metal Gear Solid 2 under "Prep."

Preps have extremely minimal Gaming exposure compared to Losers. The Preppiest games are on Elite systems like 3DO imho. Possibly Neo Geo or Fat PS3 (early releases).

The question is what RPGs, as far as RPGs go, are the Preppiest. Of course no game is an actual Prep, because a game is not a person. And clearly the Preppiest RPGs are the elite RPGs, because Preps are the elite clique.

What about turn based RPGs that functioned almost like card games such as Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven?
