Date: October 1st, 2026 6:06 PM Author: talented main people I was on clinical ketamine (Sprovato) for about 8 months. It just kinda makes you space out for 90 mins or so. The closest thing I can compare it to is really good weed in that it makes existence feel “unreal” for a bit, but it’s a different feeling than weed. When I was on it, it always reminded me of that scene from training day where Alonzo gives Jake PCP and the camera shows what the world looks like from his perspective. It’s amusing the first few times but not something I have any real desire to do again. And no, it did not cure my depression. Date: October 1st, 2026 6:21 PM Author: brass ape Is it really that fun? I don't get why it's so popular if it's just a downer. Just because people are super anxious these days and it helps them relax? (http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=5908511&forum_id=2#50165260) |
Date: October 1st, 2026 6:24 PM Author: Dun menage I've only done it like twice. It kinda reminds me of Whip-Its, which I also never understood the appeal of. It's short and intense. I guess it's for people that want a quick burst. No much good as an anxiety reducer outside of that window imo. (http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=5908511&forum_id=2#50165269) |
Date: October 2nd, 2026 11:50 AM Author: crimson jewess mad cow disease It sucks imo. It is really intense and uncomfortable, and has no pleasurable or anxiety reducing properties. It isn't "a downer", it is a dissociative with psychedelic properties. At higher doses it becomes a powerful anesthetic, but simply because it knocks you the fuck out and completely blocks pain receptor signals.
Why people do it? The people who do it are not people who want to feel good or suppress anxiety. They are "psychonauts" who want to explore weird states. Like hey lets try this thing that makes me feel partially half disconnected from my body in this bizarre way and I feel like i'm falling through the ceiling when I'm just laying on the couch. |
Date: October 2nd, 2026 11:58 AM Author: Dun menage Pretty much. I thought it was cool. It felt like a lucid dream where I lived a whole other life. I did it while fucking/massaging and it was cool to drift out and back in in that context. But I never felt the need to go seek it out again. Date: October 2nd, 2026 12:02 PM Author: crimson jewess mad cow disease Some people enjoy it to an extent or find it neutral. Other people find it uncomfortable or even disturbing.
