Does any casual sports fan know who is the new #1 this week? I feel like everyone knew the big 3 and now nobody knows wtf an Alcatraz or a tyrolean doobs or a “german” Sasha is.

no idea. only tennis stuff i hear is whats poasted here.
the "casual sports fan" who isnt a gambler probably knows a lot less about the sports they arent really into compared to in the past.
back in the day people would read a newspaper's entire sports section and watch sportscenter so theyd hear about tennis players and events. i bet most people now would struggle to even name the four "slams"
very sad. good point that the "casual sports fan" prob doesnt even exist anymore. i guess it's part of the overall phenomenon of there not being a unified culture anymore in this country. sports fans fans were all unified reading the sports section and watching SC; not it's fragmented just like everything else in amerikkka.
btw, wonder if most people could name the four golf slams either

cr just another example of the fragmenting of are "culture"
as for golf its more likely but maybe they forget the pga.
golfmos even get confused about the whole pga championship, pga of america, pga tour thing. its way worse since liv came along and the media started calling the tour "the pga"

Great poast. The other thing is basically every sport is treated as a business first and there is just too much talk about "growing the game" and "entering new markets" and what not. When I saw there was an NFL game in Australia, I thought it was a spoof.
the fundamental problem is these sports (and the jews behind them) don't just stay in their lane.
there used to be a sports calendar with highs and lows -- late dec / january was college bowls and then nfl playoffs, and then february was boring and you looked forward to march madness and spring training, then you have the start of baseball and then the hockey and nba playoffs, then you get into a boring baseball summer maybe paying more attention if there's interesting events or your team is doing well or you have the olympics, and then you get excited about the start of the nfl and cfb, and then baseball playoffs.
now these jews are trying to forcememe their sports 24/7/365. when espn went all in with non-stop year around nfl coverage of shit like the lead-up to the combine and lead-up the draft, it was fucking nauseating.
people are be better off being exposed to new things. if a casual sports fan is "forced" to watch some tennis or golf or horse racing highlights, it's a good thing. nobody would even have any way to get exposure to 2nd tier sports now.
