k, so seriously, the bottom line to your friend is it's pointless to guess and it won't matter anyway.
some firms that have done pushbacks will look wise for scrimping, for others it's an sos sign - no way to know. BUT it works the other way too - there are firms that are in deep shit who won't want to do pushbacks so they can stay under the radar for the next few months, get their partners' ducks in a row etc.
further, she won't be admitted till January 2010 at the earliest, and HR at any firm won't have any interest in interviewing candidates who *may* have a job... |
