You should start by not using AI at all anymore. It would up your credibility instantly. If you just put everything in your own words it would sound a lot better to most people. You gotta quit cold turkey because you have an obvious dependency.

i don't agree that i have an obvious dependency, i write every rough draft without AI assistance and i aim for pangram to have a 10-20% AI rate on final scan - this is what i have quasi-settled on now (my next post scans to 9% AI), although it's been a process to discover the right balance - but i am aware of the *perception* pushed by critics, and it would be nice to say "hey champ, 0% AI use." i'm not settled on this

Why do you use of at all? I'll be honest I don't think anyone reading it is gonna think about 9% or 23% or whatever. You either notice it or you don't and if you notice it at all it's just a huge turnoff and it makes you seem stupid to the outside world whether you are or not. So why even bother? If you're not addicted it would be pretty easy to quit. I don't think you could quit though because you enjoy it too much.

i enjoy the dialectical sparring enormously. it has allowed me to deepen my own views massively in very specific ways that would have taken far longer to develop, and on points that i have not seen developed elsewhere (the abraxian stuff is all new, developed from something jung backed away from)
it also allows me to scan my draft and identify areas of weakness and "buff them up", which is helpful, or at least to rethink the arguments
AI is an amazing tool, but it is a dangerous one that needs to be carefully handled

Even if you've learned a ton from arguing with the computer you can still put your final draft entirely in your own words and avoid obvious AI tropes. It's the fact that it seems like AI at all that makes it sound stupid to the reader. Humans are keenly attuned to noticing slop and the Slop Factor is a major turnoff. There's nothing wrong with using AI but if your work has the Stench of Slop it becomes utterly discredited. So regardless of whatever you learned from engaging the robot you ought to put it in a writing style that appeals to humans. AI writing does not.

yes, which is why i settled on the 10-20% target for AI rather than 50% or whatever. but maybe it's still too high, i don't know. this is novel technology, novel applications, i'm still feeling it out. i do notice the AI criticism and i've adjusted accordingly, but perhaps theres more to do
yeah nothing wrong with bouncing ideas off of ai, it's great at that, but having it actually generate content is unnecessary and a turnoff for some readers.
i have my gpt settings s.t. it doesn't suggest wording unless i ask it to. then i can send drafts of things and just talk about the ideas without it being like, "say it this way instead!!"

Yeah I would go bone dry on that shit. You have to come across as a commanding communicator to reach anybody deep in the soul. AI is immediate red flag.
