Date: August 26th, 2025 4:37 PM Author: ceo 2 wrongs don't make a right. libs lose all moral high ground by sinking as low as the cons, and the republic is worse for it. gavin is clearly trying to ape trump, which comes off super hollow when theyve been screeching at this exact behavior for 10 years end of empire shit. nonody gives a fuck about the Majesty of the Law anymore. Even if dems say repubs started it, they're just as guilty for continuing. Republic a dying |

Date: August 26th, 2025 4:43 PM Author: Razzle-dazzle double fault lettuce So CA should stand down while Texas moves ahead with redistricting cuz it will make CA look better? (https://xoxohth.com/thread.php?thread_id=5766426&forum_id=2#49214186) |

Date: August 26th, 2025 5:20 PM Author: Razzle-dazzle double fault lettuce so your argument applies equally to Texas and they shouldn’t redistrict, but if they do, CA still should not do it?
you also believe that if California does it first Texas should not follow suit? |
|
Date: August 26th, 2025 5:39 PM Author: ceo correct. my argument is that a state should redistrict only when there's valid reason to do so, political vengeance not being one because of course your political opponents will do it back and suddenly there's no Rule of Law anymore Like i said, country going in a shitter RN cons and libs alike |

Date: August 26th, 2025 5:05 PM Author: Snowy federal nursing home fat ankles Absolutely. Weird how no blue state like illinois, massachusetts, or every other blue state, never thought to gerrymander to increase democrat representation. I guess the only conclusion is that since republican states invented gerrymandering the blue states have no choice but to dabble in this dirty game. Im sure many blue states have a lot of seats to be gained by gerrymandering a la Texas's lead
Congrats Texas! Youve bitten off more than you can chew and now all the blue states are going to follow suit! Cons pwned again! |

2) as a practical matter it will only deepen partisan gridlock and thus serves only to exacerbate an existing problem out of spite |
