ok, the new theory sweeping the con interwebs is that she changed her age after entering Congress because she had lied about being a minor under her father's protection.
Cons are by nature retarded, but let me try to make this simple. Let's suppose that she was 18 when her dad listed her as 17. Do you think whatever those forms are require an affidavit from the (purported) minor applicant?
I'm guessing some of those words are too big. But you can ask AI to simplify it if necessary.

The issue is that if she were 17, she'd become a citizen at 18 because of some gay (((program))), but since she was 18, she would only be eligible for citizenship after holding a green card for 5 years.

The process for denaturalizing a person who is a naturalized citizen -- after having come into the country as a lawful immigrant -- is very difficult, and the evidentiary burden is quite high.
But if Ilhan Omar was 18 or older when her father became a naturalized citizen -- or if he never became a naturalized citizen -- they she's an illegal alien now and always has been.
SHE claims she had derivative naturalization via her father. That means she never went through the process herself of becoming a naturalized citizen. If she had that would be very simple to document -- every lawful alien has an "A File" and evidence of her naturalization would be in that file.
If, as she claims, hers was derivative -- and if she was too old or her father lied to everyone about being naturalized himself -- she's going to get the boot because there is no lawful basis for her to remain.
You're living in a fantasyland about how immigration law works. People under deportation orders have the right to obtain review through the majesty of the law, as exercised by courts.
For example, do you remember how mad Mr. Trump and Ms. Noem were about the Maryland Dad who had "MS13" tattooed across the knuckles of his right hand? Mr. Trump getting really mad at someone =/= they get deported.

Seems clear to me now that the theory is going to be that she was NOT related to the person she claimed was her father, so she could NOT get derivative citizenship via his naturalization whether he ever was naturalized or not.
She has been an undocumented alien in the US her entire life because her real father remained in Great Britain when she came to the U.S. with a different family who lied about her being their daughter.
This is why they wanted DNA of her sister, and already had DNA of her husband/brother.
There is reporting that this all kicked off recently over a group text message on her sister's phone -- LIKELY obtained in connection with the fraud investigations in Minneapolis that involve her sister.
That's why they wanted her phone so badly -- to find the same message on her phone. She's probably in the group chat that was found on her sister's phone.
The message must reveal some information about them not being part of the same family.
If she acknowledged knowing that was the case, then she has lied numerous times as an adult about what she knew about her lineage and whether she was naturalized.

what's so fun about this issue is that you have to be a complete idiot or a complete partisan if your opinion isn't, "welp, it could easily be a complete political attack on Ilhan and it could easily be a complete fraud by Ilhan, and we don't know yet and i'm dying to see which it is."
i was disappointed to see Glenn Greenwald immediately push all his chips in on "it can only be a political prosecution."

as of rn, the only sane response is "who the fuck knows what happened?"
it's very possible that the Trump team will step on their dicks once again in a legal matter. and it's very possible that Ilhan committed fraud or knowingly repeated false facts regarding her presence here.
all the outlets are saying their sources say the investigation is about whether her father lied in his paperwork for her to become a citizen. one theory is that maybe he claimed in this paperwork that she was 17 when she was 18. obviously the sources could be lying, but we've acknowledged in this subthread that we don't have the answers yet.
edit: i see now there's another investigation that they're claiming is about her finances, didn't know about that one

she's from Somalia you gross as fuck old weirdo. she probably never used toilet paper or took a hot shower until she came to this country at age 18 (not 17). she also married her brother and is sketchy as fuck.

they're disgusting people with poor hygiene standards and now she's 20 years older. her twat prob looks and smells like cottage cheese you leave out in the sun for several hours on a summer afternoon.
she probably still wears that stupid rag over her head because she doesn't regularly shower

so Ilhan and her lawyers have written a letter to the judge complaining about the *process* of the search warrant. i assume they'll be attacking the substance at some point.
CBS has reported about the existence of the letter but not the specific content. i imagine that her defense team leaked that but they don't want anyone to see the underlying facts, at least for now.

Attorneys for Rep. Ilhan Omar accuse DOJ of violating judge's orders to follow protocols to protect her rights as member of Congress

Attorneys for Representative Ilhan Omar have accused the Justice Department of violating a magistrate judge's order by failing to follow certain protocols designed to safeguard her constitutional interests as a member of Congress during the search of her home in Washington, D.C.
In the Oct. 16 letter, Omar's attorneys Amy Jeffress and Joshua Matz asked the government to immediately return the congresswoman's property, and they also demanded all video and audio recordings of the search be preserved.
"This vindictive, retributive, and politically motivated criminal investigation into one of the President's chief congressional critics violates Representative Omar's constitutional rights and threatens the separation of powers," they wrote in the letter, which was reviewed by CBS News.
In a statement, a Justice Department spokesperson disputed the claims in the letter, saying it was "riddled with false allegations and inaccuracies."
"Our attorneys and law enforcement partners complied with all court orders and legal obligations, as they always do," the spokesperson said. "Leaking a letter to the press right after sending it is not good faith. It is a publicity play."

Agents from the Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant at Omar's home on Monday, as part of a sprawling criminal investigation into her family's history for evidence of possible fraud and false statements in their immigration paperwork.
Her personal cellphone was among the materials seized in the search, CBS News previously reported, and grand jury subpoenas were also issued just days before the search to some of Omar's family members.
The search warrant was first presented to a magistrate judge in U.S. District Court about a week before it was executed.
The video player is currently playing an ad.
Prosecutors and the judge engaged in a lengthy back-and-forth, after the judge raised concerns that the search warrant failed to incorporate any protocols to protect Omar's legislative privileges under the Constitution's speech and debate clause, CBS News previously reported.
Those protections stem from the 2007 United States v. Rayburn House Office Building D.C. Circuit Court case, which held that in a criminal investigation of a sitting member of Congress, the executive branch can't review information that is seized in a search without allowing that member to first screen it for legislative privilege.
Initially, prosecutors tried to argue the case shouldn't apply because the search was being carried out at Omar's home, and not at her congressional office, CBS News previously reported.
In the letter to the Justice Department, Omar's lawyers alleged several key requirements imposed by the judge had been violated.
HSI agents, for example, were supposed to notify both Omar and the House of Representatives Office of General Counsel of the execution of the search warrant — a step Omar's lawyers say never took place.
Agents also allegedly prevented her from contacting her attorney for more than an hour after the search started, the letter alleges, even though she and her counsel were supposed to be presented with a copy of the search warrant at the outset.
The timing of the search warrant and issuance of grand jury subpoenas in the case have raised eyebrows among many veteran former prosecutors.

Such overt investigative steps involving a sitting member of Congress so close to an election appear to run afoul of internal Justice Department guidelines, which state that prosecutors and agents should avoid taking overt investigative steps that could affect the outcome of an election or give one candidate an advantage or disadvantage.
Omar's lawyers also raised these same concerns in their letter to the department, saying: "Historically, the Department has refrained from this type of investigative activity so close to an election, so as to avoid even the appearance of politically motivated law enforcement actions. But the political motivations behind this pre-election investigation and search are clear as day. For the reasons given above, this search was neither justified nor lawful."
Omar has long been a frequent political target by President Trump and his allies. Mr. Trump has also made derogatory comments about her Somali heritage and her religion, and he has repeatedly accused her of immigration fraud.
"There is no legitimate basis for any suggestion that she has violated any law concerning her citizenship status," her attorneys wrote in the letter to DOJ, adding the search of her home "arose from a years-old, tired conspiracy theory concerning conduct stretching back decades."
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin made unusually public remarks about the nonpublic criminal investigation in a podcast on Friday, calling it a "strong case."
In an interview with Andrew Kolvet, who hosts "The Charlie Kirk Show," Mullin volunteered that multiple warrants had been served on Monday, adding that a judge had authorized the enforcement action and investigators expected to present their case to a grand jury.
It is unusual for federal officials to speak openly about ongoing criminal investigations beyond confirming a court-authorized search was conducted, in part due to due process protections and grand jury secrecy rules.

ok, this is a fun story overall and i can't wait for the reveal.
the newest con theory is that Ilhan's father was never naturalized. i currently put 0% credence on that, but you have to say that that's entirely possible.

i take my predictions seriously and i try to hold myself to account for them.
my prediction on this one currently is, "i have no fucking idea what the fact will show but it sure is entertaining." some of Trump's legal positions have been so crazy, but it's entirely plausible that Ilhan has been up to massive fraud. i'm looking forward to seeing this play out.

Lol they collected dna evidence her marriage is a legit scam. Darling of the Dems and apparently 80% of the bort now. 1 fucking 80. I love this shit. I hope there is undeniable proof, Dems win midterm in a landslide and she gets a big congressional promotion.

as far as i could tell, it was obvious she did a scam marriage and that it was probably to her brother, other relative, or a friend. someone even scavenged the husband's DNA as i recall.
just suppose that the DNA proves fraud. what a massive fucking story that would be. i could even see a GOP-majority House voting to remove her from the House.

I am not a Government Genealogy Database Specialist, but I would think that their database would hit on a name as strange as Omar's fathers' name regardless of what DOB was entered in the system. In what has been produced, a document purported to be a search for her father's naturalization document shows "no record found" with a date of 1/1/1941.
surely the outcome isn't that "trump doesn't like somebody so he ordered a witchhunt that will amount to nothing". that has never happened. it could be, as you said, Aliens or a Somalian Mafia conspiracy or who knows what.

i've made that point several times, including in this thread. there are two plausible outcomes on the merits. and it's a given that the high-level appointees at DOJ have a lot of partisan animus for her.
still, it's fun to predict. and i'm really interested in learning about the search warrant, the evidence, etc.

years ago i had seen people claim that Biden's DOJ decided not to proceed because her migration status was solid and the statute had run on her fraud. we'll soon see, i guess.
"there will be proof that Ilhan knew of her father's lies."
What form do you anticipate this proof will take? Will it be something beyond a Truth Social post by Our Leader announcing that he has "Ironclad Proof" that will be revealed in a "very Long but also Concise!" filing by his lawyers?
