ever since 9/11 it's as if going against the prevailing conservative line is treasonous. we need bush out, and we need to end US hegemonic imperialism! sure, i said it. and you know, there was a time when it was considered patriotic to criticize the government!
that's why i'm glad this new movie Shortbus is coming out... it seeks to demystify sex on screen by making it real.
get a load of what the director's saying: "It's a little bit of a cri de coeur to us, a little bit of a call to arms" against the prevailing conservatism, he told a media conference, adding that his country was living in "the era of Bush, which is about clamping down, being scared."

you dont do ocs over two summers unless you are rotc. besides, you dont even know what I think. You are too busy railing against everything to bother asking.

It was pretty sweet because I had recommendations from 2 seals, a green beret, a guy who did usmc force recon, and a few major+. We'll see. It could be interesting.
i dont understand thsi post. to the extent you are telling me to live irl i have these words: i just got laid, i am drunk and the nightlife in this city doesnt start until 1

It'd be something to do, could be interesting and exciting. Unfortunately the USMC doesn't let you pick where you go post OCS and PLC (platoon leaders course), so that's why I'm a bit hesitant.

I know somebody doing it already... it'd be cushy... but I contacted USN and wasn't impressed with the people who handle everything. USMC is amazing for organization and promptness.

That's what the people in recruitment told me, but I've heard one or two conflicting reports. I intend to ask for clarification before I do anything. I may go for OCS just for the hell of it. I'd already grade out for the physical requirements.

yep. you certainly don't get to pick where you go for FSO or any real position like that. you can voice and opinion, beg, and plead, but you don't have final say
thats definitely true. but id like to have a location on the table to negotiate whether i join or not. or at least advance knowledge of whatever country we are about to start whooping ass and being welcomed as liberators in.

your statement is that you spent two summers at ocs in quantico. Next time say what you mean. Oh yeah, and btw, marines are only service that require ocs from rotc candidates.
but this is all besides the point, which is, you are fucking crazy.

you don't have to do rotc to do marine ocs. most campus nrotc programs don't even offer the marine component, which requires a lot of outside classes. i didn't do rotc.

I know this. All Im saying is that marine ROTC candidates are REQUIRED to go to OCS. The other services dont have that requirement.
but again this is all a sidebar. Dude, you are so fired up about this that you arent even discussing it, you are just in attack mode. drink a beer or something.

Don't you understand? If you're a post-modern artist making something obscene, it's clearly a statement against Bush.
Just like in the 90s, any 501(c)(3) was promoting virtue, something that had been lost because of Clinton's affair. Clearly, only donations to your 501(c)(3) can restore virtue to America, which had been single-handedly destroyed by Clinton.
LMAO. When did I ever indicate I was a virgin? That was an ASSUMPTION you made when you read my argument. Hope you did well in logic games at least. dont worry youll get in everywhere you apply
