But nothing indicates they planned it or even knew what the actual attack would be.
Yes I’m familiar with the “dancing Israelis” and the art student spies but those have conceivable innocent explanations whereas Mossad tailing the hijackers does not. I want more evidence like the former than the latter. |

About 95 percent of the September 6 UAL puts were bought by one U.S. institutional investor with no ties to al-Qaeda, as part of a strategy that also included buying 115,000 shares of American on September 10. Much of the September 10 American put activity traced to a September 9 options-newsletter recommendation. Airlines were already posting losses and weak outlooks in summer 2001, which is the context traders and regulators cited for the bearish positioning. |
