Sup brudda!
I think we should create some sort of backup in case Rach disappears. Or at least confirm he has some sort of succession plan now that he's back. Mb he could trust a handful of trusted poasters/mods with the code and server sign in shit in.
Apropos, he should probably mod more poasters while he's doing BIG CHANGES and give them the ability to permaban. Mb something like 3 strikes where if three seperate mods try to permaban someone they will be, that way no one gets banned because of one powertripping mod

i sense your sarcasm, but i think i would be fair about it. that said, i don't want anything to do with this. there should be a couple people with banning power tho, and the ONE RULE should actually be enforced, imo.

I'm not being sarcastic at all you sensitive faggot. You not retaliating outing spaceporn despite him outing you and it being nbd since he's already well known proves you have the temperament and respect for the one rule to be trusted with mod powers.

What do you think about testing it on aws lambda, with typescript + fastify on aurora postgres? People were criticizing the idea of using aws, because someone could get it deplatformed by continually reporting it for content to aws, but I looked at their policies and they aren't that bad. Also looked into domains and thegreatbort.com is available.

Parler famously was cut off from services by AWS for failing to moderate content that results in inciting violence following jan 6 attacks. But I think that is an extreme example. I think xo is also a bit different than a conventional polisci shithead platform. xo is so unmoderated it has a surrealist quality to it where you can just say anything. There isn't really that same potential like what happened with parler. Plus the site doesn't attract as much attention as it used to. We could also start a trial experiment on aws for a few months then move to alexhost (moldovan cloud run in an underground former soviet bunker that is known for not banning anything except for criminal stuff).
also the other day rach said he uses some private server company that has forever resisted having the site deplatformed.

Yeah but all these decisions happen with AI and algorithms. You can't trust that someone is ever going to manually review anything. Or that policies won't shift in the future. Reddit used to be 4chan-lite and now it's one of the most restrictive platforms on the internet. A large company like Amazon is not going to die on the hill of hosting zozo if we become famous again. Rach's current server has proved they will. And perhaps previous slowdowns and issues will be mitigated now that Rach is back from a cig run.

an advantage of alexhost is that they support fully anon signups with cryptopayments which is 1800000. obviously if you want to stay fully anon you pay with a privacy coin like monero and use burner emails and vpns.
if you really want to go crazy use a .crypto or .hns domain name too (domains managed on a blockchain, can't figure out who owns it or ever ban it).
